What is a hybrid classroom?

The term hybrid classroom is very popular right now in discussing a classroom where some students shift between being in the building and online and other students are always virtual.  We use this term to describe any classroom where students CAN LEARN REGARDLESS OF WHERE THEY SIT- because the design is not based on proximity, but instead on access, community, and engagement. The practices we build now will enable learning no matter what this year holds or how our students (and us) access the classroom.
